Art Learning and development began as an experiment by . Don DeAngelus and Maria Caccaviello. After many years of community service we've noticed that there was a thriving underground art scene in the Berkshires, yet the community-at-large, including budding artists and children, were not aware of exhibits, performances, and educational opportunities. We realized that a unifying organization could bring the arts to the community in a productive and inspiring way. We believe that an organization such as Art Learning and Development can improve the quality of life for every Berkshire County resident.

We recently created a board to establish the A.L.D. Community Arts Center online. Funding is now in place to break ground on our many community programs. Fundraising and generous contributions from citizens, businesses, and city grants, are instrumental in creating our artistic center.
